A slimy cell phone came up Akai's throat, unlocked. She'd seen humans carrying these things before, but had never had full access to one before. Turned out her ass fat had a date lined up. Akai figured she'd unite them~
He wasn't the only one up for sex on the beach, though. When most of the others saw the plump shark they weren't even upset about being misled. For a while, anyway. For the others... she's got a pretty foolproof way to get rid of witnesses~
Once the phone was out of juice, the fattened up shark tossed the device into the ocean. A quiet URP escaped her lips, her stomach empty once more. No evidence anything ever happened out here.
The lives that ended in Akai's stomach that night accumulated under her scales, nothing more than fat conveniently placed to attract more food for her. Erased by the predator's natural digestive processes.

There was a short news story about the disappearances the next day. Nobody involved ever saw it.
