entities cannot reproduce by ordinary means. some of them can create lesser spawns, or split themselves into pieces, or even merge with other entities. none of that would result in what you could describe as "family bonds" however. entities are selfish predators by nature. they have an innate enmity with their brethern, cannibalizing each other is pretty much their only M.O.

which puts Jag in an awkward position, being an entity that feels so much more like a human. and longing to experience human bonds like that.
