Surprise, I felt like doing more with the leeches :3 This is also a rough animation without much cleanup, but this time it's in Blender <3

Animation is a good way for me to play with liquids. They didn't come out great here, but I didn't spend a lot of time on them, so I guess I'm happy with the result :3

Animating this was a good opportunity to think through some of the leeches' underground behaviors and to expand a bit more on their digestion <3

...it's cum digestion. I mean it's not technically cum digestion because it's a stomach and it's not literally cum but... again, this isn't a species I'm being particularly subtle about, sometimes its fun to be a little over the top UwU

Content warning though that this gets a little extreme, even for me, and if you don't like painful digestion or cruelty, you should skip this description.

Leeches spend most of their time undergound when not hunting for prey. Their habitats have been largely unknown up until recently, but thanks to a good many... erm... let's just say "courageous volunteers" X3c, researchers have finally been able to start learning more about leech behavior undergound.

Leeches live in large networks of tunnels that they are constantly digging and closing behind them. Swamp ground even deep in the earth is wet enough to allow leeches to construct new tunnels on the fly. However, they do tend to have common destinations or chambers that they use for resting, digesting, and disposing of indigestible remains.

We've known for some time now that leech digestion was thorough, and fairly slow. But we couldn't guess how long prey would be alive for the process or how exactly leeches would handle their food once swallowed or what a leech would do while their prey was being processed. After swallowing and retreating with their prey, we had no way of telling what a leech would do.

Now that we have more data collected from our helpful "volunteers" we can safely say that being swallowed and digested by a leech is both an extremely unpleasant and surprisingly... "intimate"... experience.

Leeches do not secrete normal stomach acid. Instead they produce a series of multi-purpose fluids that aid in immobilization, digestion, waste collection, disposal, and even lubrication for coating and swallowing prey. The most prominent of these fluids mix together to form a thick, white goo that is continuously produced in the bowels and pumped out through the mouth. While it is a unique substance, the consistency and (according to our "volunteers" <3) taste, as well as the manner in which it is dispersed over prey and disposed of post-meal has led many researchers to jokingly compare it to a particularly thick, virile kind of semen or cum. Leeches do not seem to have any control over the production of this "cum". While their mouths are open the substance constantly oozes and splurts out, creating a simultaneously sticky and slippery surface for prey to slide along and allowing the leech to more easily coat some prey during a somewhat rare pre-swallowing "foreplay" behavior. Leeches that are engaged in this more affectionate and slower feeding style use the secretions to subdue and to help manage their squirming, unwilling meal. Once prey has been swallowed, the leech's mouth closes and their thick outer layer of skin is slid back over their head to seal and protect the much more sensitive damp flesh and skin around their jaws. With the mouth closed, the leech's secreted fluid now has no way to exit the leech's body and so it collects and pools within the stomach to be used for digestion.

Leeches have efficient stomachs and are capable of thoroughly digesting their prey and fully utilizing their nutrients. Any waste is flushed back into the goo along with the bones and trinkets which are more difficult to digest or utilize for nutrients. When prey is scarce, leeches will keep excess fluid and bones in their stomach for longer, re-digesting whatever nutrients are left within the slurry and even breaking down the bones, fur, and feathers that would normally be left behind. However, if prey is abundant leeches typically "ejaculate" or vomit out excess secretions along with the bones of their prey. A single cavern or hollow within a leech's territory will be the source for all of its disposal until filled, at which point the leech will seal the cavern with dirt and construct another. The messy nature of digestion does mean that leeches are prone to occasional belches and vomiting outside of their "garbage pile", so it's not uncommon when tracking leeches to find caves and tunnels coated in white, viscous fluid and littered with bones, as if they were the site of some kind of particularly sudden and violent climax. It's unknown what exactly causes a leech to exhibit this behavior and whether it is the mark of a poor meal or a particularly satisfying one. We do not even know for sure whether this is involuntary or purposeful behavior. It may be a particular quality of some prey that makes its remains more or less suitable for expulsion, or it may just come down to how a leech is feeling when the urge to relieve itself strikes.

Whatever the reason, leeches don't seem to have any issue with the occasional prey's remains ending up as "decoration" pooling within tunnels and common areas rather than being left to mix into the common decomposing refuse pools of previous victims. This is likely because of the leech's unique ability to convert its prey's waste into the same bodily fluids that digested said prey. The semen-like goo that leeches produce within their stomach is an all-purpose substance that may have use outside of the leech's body as well as within it. We have observed that leeches tend not to be careful or overly concerned with wriggling through or curling up in areas covered with the waste of a previous meal. We've even observed leeches preferring to frequent tunnels dripping with fresh prey, leading some researchers to theorize that leeches might be able to taste and remember particularly fond meals via their "remains". More research is needed via volunteers to determine whether the "cum" that is produced as a waste by-product of digestion inherits flavor properties based on the taste and composition of the victim. Unfortunately, this research is quite difficult to do, as volunteers typically are only able to interact with a leech's ejaculations as the "semen" is poured over them in preparation of being eaten. This means that subjects typically have no opportunity to compare taste or texture with other fresh remains from other victims (and are often in no fit mental state to make subtle determinations or observations in any case). These tests are of course ongoing on the offhand chance that an unforeseen opportunity for more data collection may arise, but as of yet no such opportunity has presented itself.

Our advice for subjects thinking about how to approach leeches is, "don't approach leeches." Of course, for many subjects this is not their choice to make, in which case we deeply value your bravery (and remind you that your required participation in these tests has been legally declared to be both willing and necessary) :3c We would like to be able to tell you that this isn't going to be as bad as you think it is, but there is no way to sugar-coat the digestive process you will be subjected to if you are ever captured by (or offered to) a leech.

In the past, we theorized that a victim might stay alive for a day or two during digestion at most. We now know that this length of time is extremely common and that particularly feisty and enjoyable prey may be kept alive for up to 4-5 days before eventually succumbing. Note that digestion will continue as normal throughout this period, but leeches seem to have a particular talent for manipulating and restraining prey within their stomachs in such a way as to keep them alive for as long as possible even while less essential parts of their body are dissolved and digested.

Leeches do not have conventional tongues, but every inch of their throat and stomach are covered in taste buds. A leech's throat and stomach is also lined with a precise, controllable network of muscles, which allows a leech to hold, rotate, and rub against its prey in whatever way it chooses during digestion.

For leeches, digestion is not a passive bodily process but rather a fully conscious, deliberate activity to be intimately enjoyed with their prey. The leech draws out what is (for it) a highly pleasurable and playful interaction with its prey for as long as possible, ensuring that the prey is able to "enjoy" the majority of digestion with its host, fully conscious and desperately struggling. A leech's "meal" does not end once a prey is swallowed, rather it begins once a prey is deposited within the stomach. For the entire duration of the prey's stay, even while their body breaks down, the leech is actively tasting and enjoying its meal the same way that you or I might enjoy a lollypop or hard candy, savoring and spreading the taste to every part of our tongue and mouth, lingering and sucking at the flavor while the treat dissolves. As the prey begins to melt and break down, leeches enjoy rolling it over and over again along their inner walls, savoring every single part of their prey's body as it slowly softens and begins to liquify into the same sticky, pungeant, overwhelming fluids that are now flooding the stomach. Every inch and every fold and muscle of their stomach tries to get in on the action <3 Leeches appear to take great pleasure in the way their prey's flavor evolves and changes during digestion and the way that their prey struggles and fights for life inside the grinding and sliding walls that cling to them. A victim's struggles only serve to give their host a pleasing inner massage, stimulating digestion further. The motion is otherwise effortlessly absorbed into the stomach's flesh, which returns the favor by squeezing and massaging its "guest" in turn.

Once again, we remind any subjects reading this that your participation has been legally classified as willing, and that your sacrifice has been designated as both scientifically necessary and ethically acceptable.

There is no possible escape for victims at this point. No amount of fighting will change the fact that the prey is nice and snugly restrained and secured within the hot, sticky, smothering confines of the leech's stomach pouch as the leech's thick, digestive cum-like goo grows thicker and thicker around it~ The constant sound of sliding flesh squelching wetly around it are the only sounds that a prey will hear for the rest of its life. It will be able to see nothing, it will have no sense of direction or awareness of where the leech has gone, it will only be able to feel that the leech is wriggling and moving deeper and deeper, then curling up and affectionately nuzzling its catch to stimulate it and provoke another round of pointless struggling. The prey's entire world has now been reduced to its predator's body.

Of course, prey never leave a leech's stomach partially digested or prematurely. When prey exits a leech, it will always be (at least) days later, and only after said prey has been fully reduced and converted into a fresh load of cum and bones~

Leeches appear to be capable of pumping stale air in small quantities through their stomach walls at a volume that is just sufficient to keep prey conscious and fighting. This has not been verified directly, but researchers can think of no other way that a prey could remain alive and struggling for days without a leech ever opening its mouth. Once swallowed, the prey is forced to accompany the leech through their tunnels as if the prey is some kind of companion or pet, while the leech affectionately tends to its "guest" nonstop, basting it in the sticky batter that is slowly bloating out its stomach, until eventually only liquid and bones remain, left to unceremoniously mix into a pile of bones and goo of previous prey, to be spewed and belched out over the walls and floor of a leech's sleeping quarters or tunnel, or to be poured out affectionately over the head and body of the leech's next unlucky victim during the leech's pre-meal "foreplay", emptying out the leech's stomach to make room inside for the newly secured guest <3
