The water was calm, not betraying a single trace of what had just recently happened. Kaimana sighed deeply as she let herself float back down into the depths. This peace is what she loved about her home. Just a shame these pesky humans kept interfering with their incessant trading and fishing.

Really… they always take more than necessary, she thought. And they never seem to learn. She felt her mood sour when thinking about those nuisances and so, tried to look on the bright side. They may barely be a bite each but, admittedly, their little expressions were quite entertaining. A smirk crept onto her face as she thought of the sheer chaos that broke out on the deck of the ship she’d just attacked. The panicked yelps underpinned by the captain barking orders at her crew.

As if that would help. She let out a low chuckle. Such a spirit may be commendable but no less futile than any other reaction. And yet, judging by the feeling in Kaimanas stomach, the little captain may still be trying to order people around. She scoffed at this as she reached the entrance of her cave, was greeted by her shark companions and got settled in. It felt good to lay down after such a squirmy meal. Some extra movement drew her thoughts back to that feisty captain. Honestly, she felt a little bad that the crew would have to spend their last moments dealing with her.

At least I’ll be done with them quickly. And anyway… she thought as she picked something from her teeth and let out a little burp.
They deserve it.
