I really just have to admit it now - life is getting VERY hard so far this year. This picture is an expression of that.
It's been so hard, that I'm a few months behind on starting my commissions and other online income. To the point now that I'm behind on rent (because of the injury in November) and groceries are really tight. It could get worse in a week, if the landlady takes some action.
So, I'm in a bad position, and probably can't start commissions for a while still, until this crap is resolved.

Besides the stress from the landlady, my housemates are constantly fighting, and one of our landlady's houses was on the news recently - emphasizing that they are illegal. We might all have to leave if the city pursues it further, and not sure how they plan to house the tenants if they shut this place down. But to top that off, my mother - the only family left that I talk to - had a major mental breakdown at Christmas, cussing me out badly, and revealing a huge betraying of my trust. She's been a resident of a well-known old mental hospital since then, with no solid estimate of when she'll be released - several more months at least. So there's that on my mind now, too.

Sorry for going on about all this, just that it's all been building up, and it's so hard to work on art, or even focus some days. Once a few issues are resolved, I was hoping to invest in a tablet, and finally start drawing digitally. I think I'm finally ready, and might have some ways around the light bothering me too much. It would save a TON of time and trouble, not drawing with pencil crayons and a sketchbook, and no doubt my work would look better and get more popular. Hopefully by Spring. I noticed WalMart carries a bunch of tablets on their site, and the prices are pretty fair.

In the meantime, I'll be pretty busy trying to get life back on track. It looks like things will get better in the long run, but it'll be an uphill battle, and right now in my condition I could use all the help and encouragement I can get. Thanks for reading guys.
