Lolicon
Lolicon (also rorikon, ロリコン,loli,rori)
Lolicon refers to an interest in underaged girls. As such, it can be said to technically encompass both lolita complex as well as pedophilia. It is not directly related to vore or limited to vore, but may occur together with other sexual deviations, including vore.
The term itself is derived from the term 'lolita complex'. When written in Japanese, the spelling would amount to 'roritakonpurekkusu' (the 'n' would be pronounced 'm' because of the following 'p'). A common abbreviation technique in Japanese is to take the first two Japanese characters of each of the words making up a composed word. In this case, these are 'rori' and 'kon'. Thus, the term 'rorikon' was originally just an abbreviation for 'lolita complex'. In Japanese usage, however, it has expanded to include any form of pedophile orientation towards girls, and it could be debated whether it really includes 'lolita complex' at all anymore.
The preference of the Japanese term over the term 'pedophilia' may have two reasons:
First, the term 'pedophilia' is seriously stigmatized and discussions containing it have a tendency towards deteriorating in quality far too rapidly.
Secondly, the term is sometimes used to imply that the interest is not directed towards real children, but rather to drawings in what is commonly called the manga style or CGs in the style of Japanese popular culture.
From a legal point of view, sexual activities involving minors are serious offenses.
