The year has certainly been one of them of all time, and I reckon things are going to get worse before they get better. It started fine, at least. I was getting stories done, chipping away at this and that, even got back into reading for a bit - and then around April I'd gotten ludicrously sick for basically the whole month, but still managed to bounce back.

For those expecting a voretober from me this year, I will not have time to do it this month. I'm putting all my writing time into this big project I announced a couple months ago - I am, internet connection willing, settled into a routine that works for me to chip away at stuff. I'm not blitz-speed, and I'm probably not meeting my last promised deadline, but it is indeed coming along.

That project I'd promised on Vore Day...Is not going to be done by the end of the month. Throwing money at artists and my in-general shoddy attention span has significantly delayed it - to where, as it currently stands, I would need to write more than three scenes a day in order to make the original deadline of August 31st. It's true that I can, if my mind is really set on it, bang out almost a whole short story in a day - that was the case for the Calliope story and the Yesugen debut story. However, it's also true that those bursts are the exception, and not my rule.

It has dawned on me just how big this project is really going to be, and I want to make sure it's done justice. That means I have to take it at a pace that won't burn me out. "Slow...
