So, I'll be off for a days. Got bit by a rattlesnake. Really not fun.

So, this is a true story about myself.

When I was a kid, I had a horrible gag reflex. It was so bad I could never take any pills for a ridiculous length of my childhood, and my parents had to go out of the way to get any medicine I might need in liquid form, with was both an inconvenience and pretty disgusting. I never seemed to grow out of it, either, even into my late teen years it was a problem. I think by that point, I had just learned not to try, as it had never worked out for me in the past. My point is, it was more a psychological gag reflex than anything at that point.

So, then came my entry into the wonderful world of vorarephilia. I knew I liked all this, and as I got more involved, I came to see myself identifying with the pred role more than anything....

Such a little, insidious, dismissive word.

He's small, he's weak, he's nerdy, he's a virgin*, he's a vorephile, he's cute...

A word for the little kid that can only dream of being big and strong. A word for those with imagination but no muscle to act on it. A word reserve for little boys with a Napoleon complex, said with a laugh and a pity smile. A word for idealists who must compensate for his utter lack of power. A word used to crush dreams before they can shape the world.

Cute. I took my time accepting this word.

So this year has been pretty good to me in terms of coming into my own irl. I have something I can call a career, and a lot of personal stuff that got sorted out. I find myself with a nagging feeling of wanting to participate in this community more and create vore content. With free time on my hands for the holidays and more means to get commissions than I'm used to, I feel like I have no excuse for not acting on this feeling. I feel pretty good in my writing skills, but I've not been about to really write something I would consider smut. Most of my stories have some new idea or twist that i explore, while paying sdon't rvice to the fetish aspect. I don't rp for personal reasons, and feel uncomfortable crossing my characters over with other peoples stuff... I love the art I see on this...

So I have never actually done NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writer's Month) before. Usually it is held in November and the goal is to write an entire novel (50,000 words) in the course of a month. That has always seemed like a fairly unreachable goal, and has stopped me from participating.

However, I was interested to find out that they also hold a summer writing camp, starting in July. Interested, I signed myself up to participate this summer. I'm setting myself a goal of 20,000 words, and we will see where I go from there.

Now, my novellette will be posted on a public site, and so I don't expect that I will be including too much gratuitous vore material. However, I would like some feedback as to what kind of story to...

Well, tomorrow is finally the big day. I am officially moving in with my fiancee! We are getting own rental house at last, and Iam super excited about the move. I don't expect too much trouble; our new place will be in the same city, and is actually fairly close by. Had a lot of fun this weekend getting ready by packing and buying new furniature.

Now, if only I can convince my parents to give/sell me their old computer to replace my ailing laptop, it would be a perfect holiday season.

I’m currently interested in hearing what people here think about the origins of predators. I think that, when it comes down to it, predatory characters can be divided into two groups; those who are born with predatory instincts, and those who learn them later in life. Instincts seem like a very common explanation, especially when it comes to furry characters. “A wolf still has instincts to chase after a deer, even if they are both people in their society.” “A dragon naturally has hunting instincts” etc. What I think is interesting is that some people also include humans. “That girl is a pred, for her it is normal to eat someone, she is just born that way.” They make a setting in which whoever they want to be a pred has the natural inclination.

So, I just so happen to have stumbled onto a rather vorish thought by a published philosopher.

Suppose that people were the only edible things; and suppose that they felt no pain on being eaten and were reconstituted at once. How many formalities and apologies would now be required in the satisfaction of hunger! People would learn to conceal their appetite, and learn not to presume upon the consent of those whom they surveyed with famished glances. It would become a crime to partake of a meal without the meal's consent. Maybe marriage would be the best solution.

Still, this predicament is nothing like the predicament in which we are placed by desire. It arises from the lack of anything impersonal to eat, but not from the nature of hunger. Hunger is...

Because I got a new job today! It's part time, but now I will be working two part time jobs and so that will really start to make a difference for me. More importantly, this job has much greater opportunity than my other, and will really help me develop the skills I'm looking for to move forward in life.

So yeah, I am pretty happy. I will probably be busy for the next few days/weeks while settling in, but I will be available via pm if anyone needs to contact me.
