I hope everyone had a Happy New Year, whether you partied or just slept through it. I stayed up late and watched Red Line with some friends before we watched the ball drop, which was a lot of fun.
I haven't journaled much over the last few years, and thought it might be nice to put some thoughts down and order them a little, thinking about the year gone by and my goals for this next one. It was a year of ups and downs, we lost my father who I had a difficult relationship with, I basically didn't lose any of the weight that it was my goal to, and split with my boyfriend. (We are still good friends, it just didn't work.)
A lot good happened too, got to go to both Anthrocon and MFF, met some cool people in the furry and vore communities, I only missed five days of... [ Continued ... ]
Happy Halloween! I hope you enjoy what spooks you have planned and eat all the candy you want! I love it. The air gets chill, the leaves start to fall, the sky is gray most of the day, it's my favorite weather to crack a window and let a little bit of the cold air in while I game. Wish I still took the time to costume, but I don't go to parties like I used to, but hey, there's next year.
Voretober is also over! I missed a few days, but it was fun! As I said in my last piece of the month, it is a challenge, some days you don't want to draw, or the prompt doesn't inspire, and it's important to take a day if you're not feeling it. Other days I was electric, feeling the piece and prompt and just in the zone. Kind of how it is outside of challenge art stuff too. I think I got a... [ Continued ... ]
Once again, not sure when I'll stop, but I'm going to be working on the vore version of that stripper pole animation, and depending on how I feel, I have an idea for a last minute mermay thing.
Yes, it's that time of year again! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Me, I'm dressed as a Street Magician since I've been exploring some card magic and such, and while it's rather slapdash, I didn't have much time or money to make it. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I love Halloween, I love costumes and props, I love acting like something else, I love it all! This may have something to do with my love of acting, and even roleplaying, but hey, I love it. So go! Dress as monsters and superheroes and your favorite pop culture reference! Eat candy! Have fun! Scare someone! That's what I'm about to do by... giving you all few creepy things I like! In no particular order...
I didn’t make a blog last week, just kind of didn’t, forgot to get it written and it’s not a popular, do I just didn’t. ;p Still, even if it’s not read I’m trying to just write more either way, so I’ve got one for you this week! Let’s talk more about what it takes to be a DM for a game… having a campaign.
Let’s go over your first, easiest, and the best option for those just starting out, or with a new party you don’t know very well… a module. A module is a campaign written for you, Wizards has made a lot of these for just about any level campaign, and you can probably find some help online if you look hard enough. A module will tell you what to say, where to put battles, it’ll give you monsters, tell you how they fight, it basically does your job, and you’re narrator at that... [ Continued ... ]
I'm not so hot this week, recovering from being rather sick, D&D went... poorly, and had to end early because of unrelated issues, and I work early next few days, and I am not a morning person. All annoying issues, but not really awful ones, but they've still taken a bit of a toll on my energy and mood. I did want to get a blog on campaign creation for DMs, but that will have to wait, I don't really have the energy to make it happen, thinking deeply on that is kind of... rough. So instead, I figured I'd indulge and talk my favorite creatures of D&D! The worlds of D&D are full of fantastic creatures and beasts, from clever dragons to dim witted orcs to packs of slavering wolves, and here some of my favorites who often make an appearance in my campaigns...
So, this week is another important subject in beginning a D&D party, it’s kind of a big deal, picking the system you want to play. I’ll try and explain how I pick the system for most of my parties and campaigns, but I have to say that I’m no expert on D&D systems, I’ve played a few, but not a lot. Note that I’m also a wee bit biased on the subject too, so take that for what you will.
What you decide to play is important, each tabletop system has it’s battle system, the way things are done, skills, pros, and cons. It’s a big deal for some, though for many it’s not, because a lot of people only have and know one system, but if you don’t, and you’re picking, there’s a couple things to think about.
-What fits best with your campaign? When you design your... [ Continued ... ]
