"Ahhhhhh, this is amazing," Katara said as she soaked her young, dark skin in the cool water of the spring. Even in the Fire Nation while the heat of the day can take a toll on someone incognito, the hot days here being especially brutal for someone used to the cold. She was so grateful of the drop in temperature that she shed her red Fire Nation dress and was floating in the spring on her back. The water wasn't too deep either, hence why she felt comfortable inviting Toph to join her.

was the first living person the girl had seen since she awoke in the
watery darkness so long ago. For uncounted years she had traversed
the depths in silent solitude, unable to come near the surface with
its bright, burning lights. Her lone, infrequent companion had been
the hated metal sphere, which would bathe her in hateful light
whenever she got too close. Usually, the sphere came down, floated
about for a few hours, and then returned to the surface, leaving her
once again

Location:
a dark, submerged cave
A light
emerges from the water. Chris surfaces – her head poking up over
the water surface with a magical glow rod clenched in her teeth. The
inside of the cave is totally dark and her rod is the only
illumination. All around her is darkness and her body is hidden below
in a pit of black water. She searches for a wall, paddling until she
sees the sheen of the wet walls reflecting her light. Holding herself
against the wall, she catches her breath. She's armored
