Clearwater was never the centerpoint of…anything, really.
It was a small, backwoods town on the border of Equestria and the Capran Empire. Despite this, its residents were entirely ponies, which was impressive for a town so close to the goats’ homeland; usually border towns tended to have quite a decent population of goats as well, but Clearwater had seemed too small to attract them.
…For a while, anyway.
