“Go on in,” the guard said for the third time. “Your final warning. There are deaths more painful than digestion.”
I gulped, swallowing down my protests. I mustered up my courage to enter (which wasn’t hard when the lamia guard was staring daggers at my back). Taking a deep breath, I opened the door.
