Jace took a deep breath, which did little to calm the knots in his stomach. From behind familiar arms wrapped around his waist and hugged him tight. It helped a bit, he let himself relax into those arms.

“We don’t have to do this,” Nym said softly, nuzzling her face in his neck.

Jace shook his head, “No, it’s ok, I want this,” he gave her arm a reassuring squeeze.

You would think that his demon body would be able to handle alcohol. Sadly he's a fucking twig and God thought it would be funny. Plus Cain was far too fond of drinking past his limit. He was celebrating with his boyfriend so he was drinking whole bottles of liquor instead of the cheap beer he typically enjoyed. It was a big deal, Ash had just reached a career milestone after all.

Intriguing as always. Jace watched, captivated, as his partner was digging into the whole roast chicken on her plate. Nym took a huge bite out of the leg in her hand, happily humming away with her tail wagging. Nimbly tearing the last bits of skin and meat from the bone. She sucked the bone a bit before tossing it into her mouth and crunching it down. Doing that adorable little dance of happiness as she savored the marrow. Jace had become accustomed to this charming show.
