Actually, in the ORIGINAL version, there is no woodcutter. Red Riding Hood (or Little Redcap, whatever she was called) and her grandmother both die. Grimm was...well, grim.

Well acctualy, that wasn't the grimm version, this was Charle Pierrau's version. Its hard to tell which was the original version tho.
