The first letter designates the Company-sized element, the next letter designates the Assault Cell, the number designates the position within the Assault Cell.
I was actually talking about the manga it was based off of but that works too. If nothing else the manga gives really accurate information about the time period it's based in with like technical break downs everywhere.
Full combat gear with no flak helmet? See, that's why I went Navy. No one is going to aim a rifle at you, and there are no worries about IEDs when you're 1000 ft below the surface of the ocean. And if something DOES go horribly wrong, you're dead in a half-second anyway, so you don't have time to worry about it.
