Shaun felt himself thrust deeper into the owl's throat, it's maw wrapping around his shoulders. He'd seen a predator take a morph like himself once before, and knew he's body would vanish without a trace. Oddly, through the flesh of the owl's throat closed in around him, he still had plenty of room to wriggle. He felt the owls talons let go of his chest, then there was a flapping motion that made him lose his balance. As he fell forward, his predator seemed to dive down on to him. The birds throat opened completely, and Shaun slide into that wet tunnel with practically no resistance. It all happened so fast, the next thing the rat knew, he had been swallowed up to his paws. Soon it would be all over, and he would be just another rat claimed by the greedy owl's gullet.
