When they mentioned the danger of long term side effects half way through, I was like, "Oh, that could be interesting." That name reveal though, suddenly tying in the "End of the Line" stories, that was brilliant.

I think you don’t give yourself quite enough credit, as I’m pretty sure I got the idea for tying this in wifh the “End of the Line” series from a comment you made about the possible origins of Peach and Jane’s abilities. But I will agree that we make a good team, this turned out really well. As I said when you showed me the draft, I do find myself wondering what sort of abilities Claire and Greg’s child will end up with, but that’s definitely a matter for another time. :)

Thanks! I've not checked to see if it screws with the timeline, but honestly, this isn't exactly a genre of writing that should be expected to have a rigid canon.

"There were endless reasons to admire Clarise, but perhaps the most impressive was that she’d attained the rank of chief fertility specialist at such a young age." In an internet full of fetish material that usually describes women-particularly by their bust size or ass first, and sometimes other features second, this sentence figuratively and literally made me wet.

This was quite sweet and fun! I really, REALLY dig the professional respect and self-restraint these two had for one another, and how they both refrained completely from intentionally doing anything to stimulate the other until it became crystal clear that their desire for one another was mutual, and both had a chance to express it. Enthusiastic consent is... so incredibly sexy! And this story had all of it, plus the thrill of accidental involvement, and everything I always love about the HDTF's bulgeless compression all wrapped up in one.

The casual summary of all the "troubles" Nancy faced during her pregnancy was a fun wind-down for my naughty imagination.

The twist at the end just made it all the more delicious! ... I knew when I saw this that I was in for a good read, an inspiration trade between two of my fav authors!

I like it a lot, but if being in the HDTF field means you don't get a visible belly bulge from being pregnant, why does the doctor have one at the end?

The technical answer is because the compression only lasts as long as the field is active, and only when external force is applied, so a bulge will come back if the stomach is not pulled taut and the field is turned off.

The official reason is because I'm a dope and didn't write a consistent ending.
