Slimes seem like they would make good transport. They can occupy the same space as someone else. I literally just wrote down Slime Smuggler in a notebook and then threshed it out the next time I had my laptop nearby.

I didn't have anything in mind when I started writing. Then it seemed like the slime was getting off on it. Then it seemed like, because of the legality of the situation, she could do absolutely whatever she wanted. Call it a comment of the necessity of consequences in day-to-day interactions.

Perhaps it was unclear that this transaction was a case of illegal smuggling. The slime was carrying Ella across the border in her mutable body. It is implied that this is because Ella would not be able to cross the border through legal means. One can intuit that this is because Ella has perhaps committed a crime in the country she is travelling to, or maybe she is a spy. People typically do not inform the public when they use illegal services, nor is there typically a way to rate illegal services. Hope this clears it up!

Now I can't help but think of the situation reversed because of "reasons" (the slime girl owes a lot of money, stole something very small and valuable, escaped the harem of a very evil being, or persecution) and needs a "solid" to smuggle her out because 'they' are watching for slimes...
...or smuggled back into the country for more "reasons" (she just likes the thrill and gets off on making her ride *believe* she's doing something illicit).

I have a series called Camilla and the Fox that uses a lot of fantasy creatures, and that is such a good idea that I think I will have to address it! Slimes would make brilliant spies for that very reason.
