In a single, sudden motion, her tail slid over Odalia’s body and swallowed up to her hips. Her mother began squirming furiously, shouting death threats and curses from inside the cell, but to no avail. If anything, her struggles hurried her digestion—before her flailing legs were even fully inside, the cell compressed tightly around her and began to liquefy her body, her protests turning to shrieks of terror for a few moments before dying out as she was churned into a fine slurry. Where one of the Boiling Isles’ most important witches had stood a few seconds ago, nothing remained but a pair of heels that clattered to the ground, a few drops of steaming sludge dripping onto them.



Not gonna lie, this one was a little outside of my comfort zone, but I had a lot of fun writing it! Always good to put another TOH story out, too—there will never be enough of those.
