Toby is a remarkably happy boy, living in a safe home with a big, loving family- even if that home is a cave system high in the mountains, and his family members are all dragons many, many times his size. ...But there is one thing which happens occasionally that does upset him.
So... this one is a bit darker than the usual in this series. Honestly, part of me was debating posting this, but in the end I decided: heck, I wrote it already, am I really gonna just not share it? The other part of me thinks the contrast is important, not only in vore storytelling in general, but for this story in particular. There will be other points later in the series where a bit of darkness creeps in, but it's the way Toby and his family thrive so happily despite the odds and natural conflicts which I think makes the story that much more compelling. I think it's safe to say the vast majority of chapters in this series will be showing the sweet times, but every now and then there will be a chapter like this, reminding you just how special those moments are.
I'm really curious to hear what you guys think of this chapter. Please do leave me a comment if you feel up to sharing your thoughts.
If you're looking to meet the rest of Toby's family and check out the rest of the series, here's the link:

Dark, but it does point out that Toby isn't ignorant to the biological realities that occur in his favorite resting place. Also very introspective of him, that realization that he would not be considered family if he didn't have that special trait of his.
Still it turned out quite wholesome in the end. I like it.
Obviously this isn't your Mother's Day special yet XD Will that tie into this one? :D

No, the Mother’s Day thing is separate and might even have another chapter or two before it.
Thanks for the feedback. Glad you liked it.

Interesting.

This was such a unique prespective, I always thought pred digesting prey in the stomach while sparing other prey was a cool idea, but I never thought of it from the willing prey comforting unwilling prey angle.

That it is.

I've probably said this before, but "pred digesting prey in the stomach while sparing other prey" is an idea I love and really want to write more of; I just haven't come up with any good ideas for it yet. I didn't even think of this as falling into that category until you pointed it out.

Very good series so far. Obviously, your HNTBL is the best but this is also good.

Thanks. I think we can agree on that. This one is really a different flavor from HNTBL, though. It’s good to have some variety.

I love how this can be so dark and so wholesome at the same time.
