With that, the Ktarl Ktarl swallows the tail that had impeded her speech and bounds out of the window and down the rooftop to the street below, dropping some Gold in the process.
...That was strange. It's almost as if she thought you fought her directly for some reason.

It actually did beat her. Had the same effect as winning a straight-up fight would have.
This is one of those RPG battles where you beat the crap out of your opponent and instead of dying, they just run away and there's nothing you can do about it. :D

Well...at LEAST it wasn't one of those fucker boss battles where you go through all the trouble of winning the fight, only for the boss to be completely fine in the cinematic and easily take you out anyway. God damn those are annoying.

Yeah, those are obnoxious. If there's a scripted loss, I'll make sure to make it 100% cutscene.
Although I have no plans at the moment to make a scripted loss, but it's not off the table.
